We have been planning to go for an international vacation since long but something or the other used to happen and we had to postpone our holiday plans. Finally we decided to spend our 2023 Christmas Holidays at Bali and processed all the bookings three months in advance through a tour company.

On reaching our first hotel we came across the first FCUP or rather a real shock. The hotel staff informed us that they do have any room booking in our name. It took almost 6 hours from the time we reached the hotel till we got our room. Imagine waiting from morning to evening after a long overnight flight for a hotel room which has been booked and fully paid for three months beforehand.

After a day at leisure we had to start with the excursions. Now another FCUP. Our tour company said that due to some technical issues the entrance tickets of the tours could not be pre-booked hence we should buy them directly over the counter and the tour company will refund us the amount paid. Imagine standing in long queues during the peak season. But we had no other option. Hence we could only visit two points instead of the six attractions to be visited as per the tour itinerary.

We spoke with the tour company representatives and they said that now everything has been properly organized and promised that the tour will now go smoothly.

Next day as per the tour itinerary we were ready at early morning 05:30. Our assigned driver called up and said that he will not be able to come as his father was hospitalized. We contacted the tour company and no response even after repeated calls to all their assigned executives. After two hours we could connect with the tour company representative. We were promised that a substitute chauffeur will reach soon but he eventually reached after 3 hours. When we met the driver he told that he reached on time and we were late. Now is it not a FCUP! Almost half of our day was wasted and we only were blamed for it.

We thought to speak to the CEO of the tour company and convey our ordeal. We spoke to Mr. Vikrant Mahajan – CEO of STS World. He assured us that all will be fine and he will reimburse all the expenses made by us and transfer the compensation amount to our bank account.

Almost 2 months have passed now and no funds have been credited to our bank account. All these days, we have been calling Mr. Vikrant Mahajan and his different team members. But no one answers our calls. As we are doctors by profession, we wish to utilise our time productively but this issue of being cheated is causing us undue anxiety and stress.

Hence it is apt to say that the much coveted tour package eventually turned out to be a A PACKAGE of FCUPS!
